Another advantage of a custom fireplace is almost any dimension can be accommodated. Keeping the glass below 172 degrees is the biggest challenge. The depth of a single sided fireplace must be 20″ minimum. The depth of a three sided or see through fireplace is 30″. Having more depth will allow for a larger flame. Our standard flame is roughly 12″ tall. Taller flames can be achieved but the glass temperature will dictate the depth, venting diameters, and draft inducer size.
